Summary

Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Bellevue, WA

Duration: Contract

Term: 6+ months

Job Description:

Experience Desired: 8+ Years.

Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store cloud billing, usage, and cost data from providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Data Modeling & ETL: Develop robust ETL/ELT processes and data models to ensure clean, reliable, and performant datasets for reporting and analytics.
Automation & Optimization: Automate cost data collection, tagging enforcement, and cost allocation processes to support continuous cost visibility and optimization.
Analytics & Insights: Partner with FinOps analysts to build dashboards, reports, and forecasting models in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) to monitor cost trends and anomalies.
Collaboration: Work with Cloud Engineering and Finance to develop KPIs, alerts, and recommendations for right-sizing, reserved instance coverage, and waste reduction.
Data Governance: Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with security and financial reporting standards.
