Location & Work Arrangement
- City, State: Atlanta, Georgia
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid Requires 2 days per week onsite attendance (Onsite on demand basis).
- Contract: This is a Contract position with a long-term tenure intent, subject to annual budget review.
- Local Requirement: Local Atlanta candidates only will be considered.
- Mode of Interview: Either Webcam or In Person.
Essential Expertise and Scope of Work
The Jr. QA Tester/Analyst will operate within an Agile environment, working closely with business partners and technical teams to ensure product quality from requirements analysis through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
1. Testing Execution and Reporting (3-5 Years Required)
- Core Experience: 3-5 years of experience with testing in software development projects, particularly mid-scale or large-scale systems.
- Test Design: Create and document test plans, test cases, and manual test scripts.
- Test Execution: Perform both manual testing and/or automated testing, execute tests, analyze results, and report problems/anomalies.
- Test Types: Experience across various testing types, including System testing, parallel/comparative testing, regression testing, and familiarity with performance/load testing and security testing.
- Domain Focus: Experience in testing Custom applications and GIS components (Geographic Information Systems).
2. Documentation and Process Support
- Requirements Analysis: Able to review and analyze system specifications (e.g., System Requirements, Business Requirements, Design Documents, etc.).
- Traceability: Experience in documenting Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and confirming applications are ready for UAT (3 years required).
- Defect Management: Operate in an Agile approach, participate in defect triage meetings, and report weekly status to the QA Testing Lead.
- UAT Facilitation: Experience in preparing UAT instructions for end users and facilitating/overseeing UAT activities.
3. Methodology and Tools
- Methodology: Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Tools: Familiarity with defect management tools, GitHub, and ServiceNow.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a similar field (or equivalent work experience).
