Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide IAM solutions. The ideal candidate will have 12 15 years of progressive experience in the cybersecurity and identity domain, with deep expertise in IAM technologies, architecture frameworks, and regulatory compliance. Job Location The selected candidate will be required to work onsite from the client's location. Depending on project needs, the work location will be either Dallas, Texas or Charlotte, North Carolina. Flexibility to relocate or commute to these locations is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
IAM Strategy & Architecture
- Define and drive the enterprise IAM strategy and roadmap.
- Architect scalable and secure IAM solutions aligned with business needs.
- Lead the selection and implementation of IAM tools and technologies.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Design end-to-end IAM solutions including SSO, MFA, provisioning, de-provisioning, role management, PAM, and identity federation.
- Guide the implementation of IAM frameworks (e.g., Zero Trust, RBAC/ABAC, Just-in-Time access).
Technical Leadership
- Provide architectural guidance to engineering and operations teams.
- Lead IAM governance, risk management, and compliance efforts (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA).
Tool Expertise
- Deep experience with IAM platforms like SailPoint, Okta, One Identity, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, CyberArk, Azure AD, and AWS IAM.
- Familiarity with standards/protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, LDAP.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business, security, infrastructure, and application teams.
- Provide leadership on IAM-related projects including mergers, cloud migrations, and audits.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
Experience
- 12 15 years in IT with at least 8+ years in Identity and Access Management.
- Proven experience in designing IAM architectures at an enterprise scale.
- Hands-on experience with modern IAM tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Certifications (Preferred)
- CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure/AWS Security Specialty, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., SailPoint Identity Now Certified).
Key Skills
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity and IAM best practices.
- Experience with hybrid (on-prem + cloud) identity environments.
- Deep knowledge of IAM lifecycle management, governance, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
