Job Details

Job Title:- SAP FICO Consultant

Location:- Wilmington, DE (On-site)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed Business Blueprint documents and SAP FICO configuration documents.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the SAP technical team, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Lead configuration efforts, user training, and change management activities related to Finance and other integration touchpoints.
  • Work closely with non-SAP systems for seamless integration.
  • Map user requirements to SAP FICO functionalities, ensuring effective solutions.
  • Manage key SAP FICO processes including General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), and Controlling (CO).
  • Oversee critical integration points between FICO and other SAP modules, such as MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution).

Experience & Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience as a SAP FICO Business Analyst with a strong focus on understanding and improving business processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in end-to-end SAP FICO application implementations across multiple functional domains.
  • Deep expertise in SAP FICO modules, including FI (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA) and CO, with strong functional consultant skills.
  • Extensive experience in configuring SAP FICO modules to meet business needs, including handling complex scenarios like cross-company code transactions and parallel ledgers.
  • Strong knowledge of integration points between FICO and other SAP modules such as MM and SD, particularly in areas like account determination and reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to document requirements, create process and data flows, and develop functional specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of Finance and Controlling processes, including cost center accounting, internal orders, and profitability analysis (CO-PA).
  • Skilled in account determination within MM and SD, particularly in a supply chain environment.
  • Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills in English.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with change management processes.
  • Experience in Working with Agile Methodology
  • Domain experience in Finance in relevant industries (e.g., Life Sciences, manufacturing, retail).
  • Working knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience with qTest.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Understand and document detailed business requirements to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Translate user requirements into comprehensive functional and technical designs, including application configuration and testing scenarios.
  • Configure SAP FICO modules and collaborate closely with ABAP developers throughout the build and test phases to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Lead users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that the system meets business requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication with Analysts and Project Management throughout all project phases, providing accurate status updates and projections
