Montgomery, AL | System Administrator | Full-time

We are actively recruiting a skilled Systems Administrator to join the infrastructure team for our client in Montgomery, AL. This is a hybrid direct placement opportunity that will require some onsite work in Montgomery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about infrastructure, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for administering and supporting both on-premises and cloud-based server environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services. You'll play a key role in maintaining system integrity, supporting internal teams, and driving forward a hybrid infrastructure strategy.

Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

 

Educational & Certification:

  • Associate Degree (Preferred)
  • Bachelor s Degree (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Azure AZ-104 Certification (Required)

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, serverless)
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics)
  • Windows & Linux server administration
  • Active Directory & Azure AD, DHCP, DNS, GPO, certificate management
  • Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESXi
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Data entry and customer service

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor physical and virtual servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Maintain and support Active Directory, Azure AD, and M365 environments.
  • Perform system monitoring, backups, and capacity planning.
  • Implement and manage security patches, updates, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to support infrastructure projects and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.
  • Participate in off-hours support rotation and ensure documentation is up to date.

  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Must adhere to all corporate security and privacy policies.
