Job Title: Enterprise Database Architect (EHR, FHIR, CCDA, HL-7)
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote)
Note: Local Texas candidates only. No relocation or out-of-state candidates.

Job Type: Long-Term Contract (W2 Only)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Database Architect with a strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-level healthcare data solutions. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience working with EHR systems, FHIR, CCDA, and HL-7 standards, and must have prior experience working on any State Healthcare Projects. This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX, and only candidates currently residing in Texas will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise database architectures supporting Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Develop integration solutions using FHIR, CCDA, and HL-7 standards for healthcare data interoperability.
  • Define and enforce database architecture standards, best practices, and data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, cloud architects, and development teams to design scalable and secure cloud-based database solutions.
  • Lead data modeling, data flow design, and data integration efforts across multiple healthcare systems and platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security standards.
  • Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architecture and data solutions.
  • Support performance tuning, scalability planning, and optimization of complex healthcare data systems.
  • Participate in architectural reviews, proof of concepts (POCs), and technology evaluations.
  • Ensure solutions are designed for high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 17+ years of experience in enterprise database architecture and healthcare data systems.
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems, FHIR, CCDA, and HL-7 protocols.
  • Proven experience working on any State Healthcare Project (Mandatory).
  • Strong expertise in cloud solution architecture on Azure (Must).
  • Solid experience with cloud architecture on AWS (Must).
  • TOGAF Certification (Must).
  • Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Certification is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards within the healthcare domain.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Solid experience with relational and non-relational databases, data lakes, and modern data architectures.
  • Experience designing high-performance, secure, and scalable database solutions in hybrid cloud environments.

Work Authorization:
  • No C2C or third-party vendors.

Work Location:
  • Must be currently residing in Texas and able to work onsite in Austin, TX for 3 days per week.
