QA Analyst / QA Engineer Long-Term Contract
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week)
Contract: Long-Term
Eligibility:
Must be local to the Austin area and able to work onsite 2 days per week (hybrid schedule). Must be able to work on a W2 basis (no C2C, 1099, or third-party vendors). Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or visa transfer.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst / QA Engineer to join a long-term state project supporting social services applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong automation testing expertise, deep understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), and experience validating complex web-based and service-oriented applications in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans and scripts.
- Create detailed test scenarios to validate requirements and business processes.
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for test coverage and completeness.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Develop documentation for test procedures and results.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Support quality assurance for multiple web-based applications including eligibility and social services platforms.
Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:
- 8+ years of experience with software QA and testing across the full SDLC using Agile methodologies.
- 8+ years of experience developing and executing test plans and test cases for web-based UI applications.
- 8+ years of knowledge in system analysis, software defect analysis, and evidence-based problem solving.
- 8+ years of familiarity with computer systems, application architecture, and software limitations.
- 3+ years of experience with HP UFT, Katalon, LoadRunner, SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, HP ALM, or JIRA (preferred).
- 3+ years of hands-on software QA (manual and/or automated) testing experience.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
