Job Details
Our client is a bank. They seek an Information Security Officer to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy security measures to protect company networks, systems, and data
- Monitor computer networks for security breaches and potential vulnerabilities
- Investigate security incidents, breaches, and viruses to ensure timely resolution
- Ensure appropriate security controls are in place and align with organizational policies
- Complete security audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
- Work with IT and other departments on information and cybersecurity protocols
- Maintain detailed records of security incidents to support continuous improvement
- Coordinate with global information security teams to align the branch s operations
- Complete risk assessments and report the results to senior management
- Develop training materials to educate staff on phishing, social engineering, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
- 7+ years of IT and cybersecurity background
- Financial services industry experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience with network security tools
- Knowledge of firewalls and antivirus software
- Proficient with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Understanding of NYDFS Part 500 and DORA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
