Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced power electronics systems for oil and gas drilling applications. This role involves working on high-reliability systems such as drives, converters, and control systems used in harsh drilling environments, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development:
Lead the design of medium and high-voltage power electronic systems (e.g., drives, inverters, converters) for drilling rigs and related equipment.
Develop and validate control algorithms for power conversion systems.
Perform simulations using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or SPICE.

Testing & Validation:
Oversee hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and real-time simulation testing.
Conduct system-level testing and validation in lab and field environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during commissioning and operation.

Project Leadership:
Provide technical leadership in cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and systems engineers.
Support R&D initiatives for next generation drilling power systems.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.


Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure designs meet industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, API).Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and design specifications.

Qualification
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering
