Location: Remote 100%

The Department of Administrative and Financial Services (DAFS) Office of Information Technology (MaineIT) provides information technology support to over 12,000 employees. MaineIT oversees large scale enterprise applications that support the critical and diverse business needs of the State of Maine and its agencies.


Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and deploy custom Workday Extend apps to meet PRISM-related business needs

Translate business requirements into Extend application architecture and designs

Use Workday?s App Builder and REST/SOAP APIs to integrate with Workday data and services

Implement secure, role-based access aligned with State policies

Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT)

Prepare documentation for app design, support, and maintenance

Participate in agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as needed



Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A four (4) year combination of higher-level programming. A master?s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science may be substituted for two (2) may be substituted for (1) year of programming experience.

3+ years of Workday development experience, including at least 1 year with Workday Extend

Hands-on configuration experience within Workday Extend

Proven ability to develop detailed configuration specification documentation.

Proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, and Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP)

Strong understanding of Workday security model, domains, and role assignments

Experience designing user interfaces using Workday App Builder

Ability to read and interpret Workday business processes and reporting logic

Familiarity with Git or version control tools

Strong communication and documentation skills

Strong technical aptitude, analytical and excellent problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team setting


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting public sector Workday implementations

Familiarity with Workday Studio and Workday Integration Cloud

Experience working in large enterprise or multi-agency environments

Agile/Scrum team participation experience
