Duck Creek Developer

American National is currently seeking an analytical expert to join our Corporate Technology team. As a Senior Programmer Analyst - Duck Creek, you will be given the opportunity develop, create, and modify computer application software to optimize operational efficiency.

How you will make an impact

Responsible for the writing and testing of software code related to our commercial policy administration system - Duck Creek
Provide support for design and implementation of policy administration system
Drive resolution and creative solutions of reported system problems and program bugs
Assist in the defining of standardized and best practices that appropriately align with business objectives and department workflow
Complete system testing to confirm business requirements, reliability and efficiency is met
Be a successful liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure productive partnerships and productivity
Perform complex troubleshooting and communicate potential solutions
Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

College Degree in an IT related field, or Business degree with software programming courses completed
Three (3) - five (5) years' experience in Duck Creek Policy Admin system, specifically utilizing Author. This experience should include providing solutions that meet business needs, as well as production support for Duck Creek lines of business.
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with business users and team members. and executive leadership
Professional written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing technical documentation (diagrams, information flows, presentations)
Working knowledge of SQL and/or XML
Strong understanding and working knowledge of P&C Insurance (Commercial experience a plus)
Eager learner who is interested in participating in additional insurance and/or technology training
