Position: Data Lake Architect
Location: Salisbury, MD (Onsite 3 days every 2 weeks)
Job Summary:
The Data Lake Architect will design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture within the Data Lake environment, ensuring secure, governed, and high-quality data to support analytics and decision-making. The role involves defining standards, building data products, and leading governance initiatives while working with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive Data Lake architecture strategy.
- Design fact/dimension models and KPIs for analytics.
- Establish data governance, security frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Lead data product architecture and set SLAs/data contracts.
- Implement metadata and data lineage tools.
- Document processes, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure data quality and accessibility.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering and analytics teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in IT, CS, Data Management, or related field.
- 10+ years in data architecture/engineering; strong Data Lake experience.
- 5+ years building data product architectures.
- Experience in data governance; CPG industry preferred.
- Strong dimensional modeling skills.
- Expertise in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform and ETL/ELT processes.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
