Business Analyst (Azure DevOps & D365 Experience Preferred)

Role Overview
Act as the pivotal liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, overseeing the full project lifecycle from initial discovery to delivery and support. Provide clarity and rigor to user needs by articulating them into well-structured user stories, features, and technical requirements leveraging agile practices in Azure DevOps while bringing value from industry-standard frameworks and Dynamics 365 (D365).

Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Elicitation & Documentation
Lead workshops, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis to gather business and technical requirements.
Produce high-quality deliverables: As Is/To Be process maps, business requirement specs, epics, features, and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.

2. Azure DevOps Mastery
Manage work items in Azure Boards creating and linking features, epics, PBIs, and tasks.
Maintain traceability and change history using DevOps workflows and CI/CD processes.

3. D365 Functional Expertise
Understand and translate Dynamics 365 modules (CRM, F&O, CE, etc.) into business functionality.
Support configuration decisions, integrations, data migration, and identify when customizations are needed.

4. Agile Collaboration & Testing Support
Participate in agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
Define UAT strategy, develop test cases, guide end-users through testing, and capture feedback.

5. Change Management & Training
Assist in change initiatives and communication plans supporting successful adoption.
Develop training resources, run sessions, and support transition to business-as-usual.

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
Act as a trusted advisor present analysis, progress, risks to various audiences.
Maintain alignment across enterprise architecture, DevOps pipelines, and operational policies.

Technical & Functional Requirements
Skill Area Requirements

  • Azure DevOps Hands-on experience creating work items, mapping features & user stories, linking epics, and managing CI/CD pipelines with boards, repos, artifacts.
  • Dynamics 365 2-5+ years in D365 CRM and/or F&O implementations, with understanding of modules (Sales, Service, Finance, Supply Chain). Certifications are a plus.
  • Requirements & Process Modelling Familiarity with methodologies: BPMN, Visio; practical use of tools such as Miro/Figma for wireframes.
  • Agile & Scrum Experience in agile environments SAFe, Scrum; ability to write structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Testing & UAT Lead the end-to-end UAT process including test planning, execution, issue triaging, and sign-off.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management Excellent written/oral communication; ability to engage across all organizational levels.
