About the Role
The Trusted Identity team plays a crucial role in our mission to thoroughly verify the identity of our customers (riders, eaters) and partners (drivers, restaurants) while ensuring powerful, intuitive and streamlined user experiences. Our continued obsession for innovation in the space is essential to ensure safety as people interact on Uber's platform!

What the Candidate Will Do:
  • Ensures that Uber is able to leverage groundbreaking enhancements in the app and device ecosystems.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses fraud vectors and provide well-rounded solutions that can be leveraged by all LOBs at Uber.
  • Partners with customer teams, capturing requirements, and leading the technology roadmap and vision for the team.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of app ecosystem capabilities for fraud and abuse detection (Integrity checks, account related fraud).
  • Cross-platform (iOS and Android) expertise to seamlessly design for all app ecosystems.
  • Collaboration with several teams to design a common solution that is usable by multiple teams to combat different fraud vectors.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in firmware and/or device internals domain.
  • Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to venture beyond the normal thought and a curiosity to explore different solutions for a problem.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$218,000 per year - USD$242,000 per year.
