Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring a Physical Security Systems Engineer to support all physical security systems, including access control, CCTV operations, and dedicated alarm systems on a global scale. This role requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The engineer will also serve as the point of contact for training users to operate the access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. Additionally, the position involves supporting the Security System team for a high-profile customer, assisting with security programs and troubleshooting globally, and working closely with Site Managers.

Shift: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Operational Support:
  • Monitor system health and identify issues.
  • Coordinate hardware and software changes with vendors and internal teams.
  • Maintain documentation for procedures, equipment, and inventory.
  • Manage security equipment and new system deployments.
  • Support and troubleshoot system outages.
  • Perform system health checks, programming, and integrations.
  • Research and recommend new technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.

Project Management & System Integration:
  • Plan and oversee security system projects.
  • Track project progress and provide status updates.
  • Review architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
  • Collaborate with IT and facility management teams.
  • Design, program, integrate, and troubleshoot security systems.

Training & Compliance:
  • Develop and conduct training programs for end-users and support teams.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members.
  • Perform audits, manage data, and generate performance reports.
  • Stay updated with the latest security technologies and trends.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education & Experience:
  • Associate's degree in Security Administration or IT, or relevant experience.
  • Experience with security systems management.
  • Knowledge of databases and Windows-based systems.
  • Security/IT certifications and project management experience.

Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in security systems (Access Control, CCTV, PSIM).
  • Experience with hosted security solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of network technology.
  • Experience with building monitoring systems.
