Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network & Security Operations Engineer to manage, monitor, and optimize enterprise network and security infrastructure. This role requires hands-on expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ISR routers, Cisco Nexus switches, F5 load balancers, and Zscaler cloud security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network operations, incident response, and security policy enforcement in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities Firewall & Security Operations

• Administer, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls including policy updates, NAT, App-ID, Content-ID, and SSL decryption.

• Monitor firewall logs, identify anomalies, and remediate security incidents.

• Perform periodic firewall policy audits and optimize rules for compliance and performance.
  
  Network Infrastructure (Cisco ISR & Nexus)

• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco ISR routers and Nexus switches in both core and edge environments.

• Configure and maintain routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).

• Perform IOS/ NX-OS upgrades and maintain configuration backups.
  
  Load Balancing (F5)

• Configure and maintain F5 BIG-IP load balancers, including VIP creation, iRules, SSL offloading, and traffic management.

• Monitor application delivery performance and troubleshoot load balancing issues.
  
  Cloud Security (Zscaler)

• Administer Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) configurations, policies, and user access controls.

• Monitor Zscaler dashboards for threats, blocked connections, and performance issues.
  
  Operations & Incident Management

• Respond to and resolve network and security incidents within SLA.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams during outages and planned maintenance.

• Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, change requests, and incident reports.
  
  Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network and security operations.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Palo Alto, Cisco ISR/Nexus, F5 BIG-IP, and Zscaler.

• Proficiency with routing and switching protocols, firewall rule management, and load balancing concepts.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, Panorama, etc.).

• Experience with change management and ITIL processes.
  
  Preferred Qualifications

• Palo Alto Networks PCNSE or PCNSA certification.

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security certification.

• F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA).

• Zscaler Certified Administrator (ZCCA-IA / ZCCA-PA).

• Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) for network and security tasks.
  
  Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Ability to work under pressure in high-availability environments.
