Description

The Application Architect (ServiceNow) will oversee the lifecycle of new development on existing and future products. Some responsibilities include reviewing product requirements, designing product architecture, and managing daily product development efforts. The Application Architect will be responsible for managing complex interactions between business processes and technologies as well as translating product specifications into production level applications.

Key responsibilities

- Create and sustain technical architecture standards and develop cross-product frameworks and best practices.

- Work to understand requirements and create functionality specifications with the product team.

- Conduct code reviews -- identifying best practices and efficiency steps for increased stability and capability.

- Aid in writing the technical section of functional specifications for new product development.

- Define and evolve development standards, guidelines, procedures, processes, and metrics.

- Manage the timeline for product development.

- Carry out other related duties as assigned by management.

- Create, design, and document solutions to product specifications for shared capabilities throughout the architecture.

- Support developers in a technical and non-technical capacity- Supervise the deployment of alpha and beta releases during the stabilization of new product development.

- Support team members so that they grow abilities and strengthen capabilities.

- Assist in product release planning and helps assess feature viability/effort.

- Play a hands-on role in code development for web-based n-tier applications.

Requirements

  • ServiceNow Architecture expertise.
  • Need someone who can execute with minimal instruction.
  • HealthCare Industry experience would be highly valuable.

-Ability to decompose and prioritize components of large systems.

- Consulting experience with business analysis, data management, system architecture, and distributed technologies.

- Software development language skills preferred.

- BA/BS in Software Engineering or Computer Science.

- 5+ years of experience in team management in a related field.

-5+ years of experience with ServiceNow, must have

- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

- Expertise in database design.

- Comfortable learning new technologies related to the Web and application development.

- Experience with creating, debugging, securing, testing, and optimizing code for multiple web-based applications and services.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience.

- Experience with threading, asynchronous event handling, data binding, scripting and query languages/tools.

- Development of realistic plans, goals, and aligning plans with company goals, managing resources, and creating contingency plans.

- Ability to evaluate an existing architecture and document issues and suggested improvements.

- 10+ years of experience in application development, software design, and architecture.

- Demonstrated capability to lead small teams and work independently.
