ECS is seeking a Mid-level Slack Developer to work in our Arlington, VA office.
ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our growing team in supporting the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), CISA's premier initiative for whole-of-nation cyber defense. JCDC brings together federal agencies, private sector leaders, and international partners to analyze emerging threats, share actionable intelligence, and coordinate strategic responses to protect critical infrastructure.
Our team plays a vital role in enabling real-time collaboration, threat detection, and mitigation across sectors. We help shape the strategies and workflows that turn raw intelligence into decisive action-whether responding to active campaigns, developing joint defense plans, or strengthening national cyber resilience. Job Summary:
The JCDC is CISA's flagship initiative for uniting government, industry, and international partners to proactively defend against cyber threats . Our ECS team is at the center of providing support to JCDC as they continue to plan, share, and respond to cyber threats in real time to support the greater cyber community and we are looking to grow our team supporting this critical mission.
We are seeking a Mid Slack Developer to assist with the integration and secure deployment of CISA ' s Slack tenant leveraged by JCDC to enhance collaboration across cybersecurity, engineering, and mission support teams. This role blends Slack administration expertise with secure coding practices, enterprise integration, and team engagement. You will support leveraging Slack to its fullest capability to enable effective collaboration and streamline workflows across CISA and the JCDC partner community .

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of the S lack organization/tenant platform, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance with federal standards.
- Support the Slack o rganization administration to include user accounts, roles, permissions, profiles, sharing rules and security settings for external users across multiple agencies/organizations
- Assist in coordinating with IT operations team to deploy updates, patches, and new features integrations , ensuring minimal disruption to system operations.
- Contribute to the integration of Slack with various other tools through API calls and direct integration to enhance colla boration and automation.
- Assist with the creat ion and maintenance of technical documentation for system configurations, release processes, and project deliverables.
- Help with the design of Slack-based alerting and workflow systems based on JCDC and CISA requirements
Required Skills
- ship with an ability to obtain and maintain , at a minimum, DHS Suitability (EOD) Public Trust.
- 5 + years of experience in software development, system integration of tools/capabilities, Enterprise Low Code No Code platforms with 1 + years focused on Slack app integration and development .
- Experience with the Slack development ecosystem, including Erlang, and Slack integration mechanisms for out of the box and custom integrations .
- Understanding of API development, data transformation, and software interoperability.
- Experience working with COTS cybersecurity tools and custom software development.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure and scalable solutions.
Desired Skills
- DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance.
- Familiarity with the operations and mission of CISA, JCDC, or other federal cybersecurity organizations.
- Slack Certified Developer or equivalent experience .
- Experience supporting federal cybersecurity programs (e.g., CDM, CISA, DHS) .
- Background in cybersecurity, compliance, or secure collaboration tooling .
