Configuration Manager
Job Title: Configuration Manager
Location: Norfolk, VA (Hybrid Flexibility Available)
Compensation: $65.00 - $75.00/HR
Layout: 6 Month Contract to Permanent Hire with Client
Type: Full-Time Employment
Responsibilities & Expectations:
Understanding of version control, change management, build automation, and release management.
Familiarity with software acquisition, development, and sustainment processes within DoD environments (e.g. Agile, DevSecOps)
Experience with tools like Subversion (SVN), media burning software (Roxio, CDBurner, etc.), ISO creation software.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
Understanding of policies related to FIAR and DoD Configuration Management standards.
Working knowledge of Jira or other issue tracking tools.
Working knowledge of addressing formats to include FPO and APO
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications i.e. Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.
Ability to work with developers, testers, and security teams to ensure controlled and secure releases.
Familiarity with SBOM tools and compliance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination and stakeholders and documentation.
Ability to analyze complex configuration challenges and develop effective solutions.
Ensure accuracy in software baselines, documentation, and compliance records.
Work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment with evolving security and compliance requirements.
Proactively assess and mitigate security risks related to software configuration and releases.
Ability to lead CM efforts, mentor junior team members, and coordinate with multiple teams.
Ability to fulfill the requirements to obtain an admin token.

- Possess or ability to obtain IAT Level 2 within 6 months of hire (Security+)
- Active DoD Security Clearance.
- At least 3 years' experience with software development for software applications.
- Must have 5 years professional experience solving technical problems. Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance and has a broad range of knowledge and experience in application of software development. Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts. Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards. Experience includes validating system to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
- Individual must have experience in fields associated with DoD Business IT supply, logistics, maintenance, and/or personnel administration system for aviation, afloat or shore activities.
