Business Analyst with Scrum methodologies (CSPO certified)
Location: Wilmington, Delaware (5 Days onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in Scrum methodologies, particularly as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that business needs are effectively translated into actionable requirements. This position requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals.
- Utilize CSPO knowledge to prioritize product backlogs and define user stories that align with business objectives.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure effective team collaboration.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product development and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including requirement specifications, process flows, and user acceptance criteria.
- Support the testing process by defining test cases and ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge and certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.
- Ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies and promote Agile best practices within the team.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and gathering feedback.
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
