Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Location: Cleveland and Akron, OH
Job Type: 3-Month Contract / Onsite
TEKsystems is hiring on behalf of a healthcare client seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to oversee end-user technology support across their Cleveland and Akron locations. This role is essential in maintaining smooth IT operations and ensuring users have access to the tools and resources needed to perform their roles effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software
  • Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and group policies within Active Directory
  • Rebuild and troubleshoot .OST/.PST files in Outlook
  • Remotely access and resolve end-user incidents across a range of devices
  • Perform break/fix tasks on hardware including desktops, laptops, monitors, and accessories
  • Build and reimage computers according to organizational standards
  • Provide basic end-user training and education when necessary
  • Document resolutions and maintain clear records of support activities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for IT incidents at both assigned locations
  • Collaborate with remote IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong expertise in Active Directory and Outlook configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience remoting into devices to resolve technical incidents
  • Proven background in hardware diagnostics and repairs
  • Familiarity with Windows environments and ticketing systems
  • Ability to work independently as the on-site IT resource

Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to phone support, imaging systems, and enterprise support platforms
  • Previous healthcare or clinical IT support experience
  • Strong customer service focus and problem-solving mindset

Work Environment
  • This position is onsite, supporting two locations
  • Minimal supervision with remote team backup

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
