Position Title: Network Operation Center (NOC) System Administrator

Location: Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Colorado Springs, CO

Relocation Assistance: None available at this time

Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position

Clearance Type: DoD Top Secret w/ SCI Eligibility

Shift: Shift work is required to support 24x7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule.

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

Our NORAD Operations Group

Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
Software development and integration.

NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world

Description of Duties:

The Network Operation Center (NOC) System Administrator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
Ensure all network and service monitoring tools are configured, optimized, and tuned to enable proactive network monitoring.
Ensure all cybersecurity tools are configured, optimized, and tuned to enable proactive network defense
Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues
Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning and monitoring operating system software and hardware
Respond to enterprise cyber security events by, blocking accounts, network isolation, access control list modification, emergency system changes, DISA first responder requirements, utilizing current capability OSCAR tool, Security Technical Implementation Guides/Anti-Virus (STIG/AV) scanning, and hash validation
Monitoring network behavior, analyzing, initiate a response, and reporting on cybersecurity events
Provides guidance, direction, and training to others in the group. Serves as backup to other computer systems administrators
Other duties as assigned

Be able support nights, weekends, and holidays (as needed)

This position will be filled and work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station

Basic Requirements:
Must have at least 4 years of general work history
Must have 1.5 years of directly related experience
Must have experience with Remedy or a similar trouble ticket system in a Help Desk environment
Must have a current DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security +ce)
Must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance w/ SCI eligibility

Desired Requirements:
Have knowledge of Linux and Microsoft operating systems as well as various Microsoft services and applications including; SCCM, SQL DHCP, DNS, Print, and Windows Deployment Server (WDS)
Have general knowledge of VMware virtual desktop environment (VMware View Connection server, vCenter server, vSAN Storage, Nutanix software) and associated dependencies
Have an understanding of network topologies and protocols
Have experience with network monitoring systems such as Solarwinds or What's Up Gold (WUG)
Have system administration experience

This position is expected to pay $80,000 - $85,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
