Title : Business Analyst - Advanced
Location : Columbia, SC
Duration : 12 Months
Job Description:
- The Business Analyst will help move over 100 applications from one Client department's systems to a new IT environment.
This role focuses on:
- Leading meetings and gathering system/process details
- Supporting testing, training, and rollout of systems
- Coordinating with stakeholders (users, developers, vendors)
- Improving processes and ensuring system readiness
- This person needs to connect business needs to technical solutions and support all aspects of system migration, including planning, testing, training, documentation, and post-go-live support.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years in Business Analyst role on IT projects
- Strong experience in gathering and documenting business requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills (written and verbal)
- Hands-on experience with SDLC
- Experience with process mapping and business modeling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create test plans and lead user testing
- Experience working with SQL databases
- Comfortable leading stakeholder meetings and training sessions
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- IIBA or PMI-PBA certifications
- Experience with JIRA and Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of mainframe systems
- Leadership or project coordination experience
- Background in system modifications and enhancement planning
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
