Maximus is looking for a Facility Manager to join its team in Rosslyn, VA.

As a Facility Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and compliance of facilities that support mission-critical programs in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment. Your responsibilities will span strategic planning, maintenance oversight, vendor coordination, and stakeholder engagement to deliver secure and efficient environments for federal agencies.

The ideal candidate is an experienced facilities professional with expertise in managing federal buildings, SCIF requirements, and familiarity with Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) processes. They excel at coordinating complex projects, ensuring compliance with security standards, and maintaining operational continuity.

This role is on-site, five days a week and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facility Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of SCIF environments, ensuring compliance with ICD 705 and other federal security standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, and other critical systems supporting secure facilities.
  • Space Planning & Utilization: Manage space allocation and planning to optimize facility usage and mission readiness.
  • Vendor & Contractor Oversight: Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, upgrades, and maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to WHS and contract requirements.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure facilities comply with security protocols, environmental regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Monitor facility budgets, track expenditures, and manage resources effectively to meet operational goals.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain contingency plans for facility-related emergencies, including power outages and natural disasters.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance reports for leadership review.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues, collaborating with internal teams and government stakeholders.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in facility management or building operations
  • Proven experience managing SCIF environments and federal building compliance
  • Practical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
  • Familiarity with WHS processes and federal facility standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in facility management software and tools


Minimum Requirements

TCS260, P3, Band 6

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with ICD 705 compliance and SCIF accreditation processes
  • Knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance standards
