Tableau Developer / Analyst

Job Description

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Tableau Developer / Analyst. The ideal candidate is personable, articulate, has a keen eye for detail, with a focus on making sure the customers' requirements and needs are met quickly and effectively. Solutions should adhere to best practices, reference frameworks, regulations, and guidelines. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work with limited supervision. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively interface with customers to understand requirements and customer needs and then be able to translate them into actions.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into interactive graphic visualizations/dashboards.
• Develop, maintain, and manage Tableau driven advanced reports and dashboards per customer requests.
• Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and architects to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
• Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshooting any issues.
• Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
• Interfacing of Tableau Dashboard with external portal, applications, and datasets
  Ensure data accuracy and consistency across visualizations.
• Review and improve existing system integration and collaborate with teams to integrate new systems.
• Provide training and support to team members on the use of dashboards.
  Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and visualization techniques.
• Query development and troubleshooting
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
• Communicate technical ideas, critiques, and concerns clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in a format the customer can understand

Required Qualifications

• Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/CI Poly
• Bachelor's Degree: High school diploma with additional years' experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years' Experience: Building,customizing,andpublishingofTableauinteractivereports,visualizations,anddashboards
• Minimum 5 years' Experience: Software Development
• Minimum 5 years' Experience: BI tools (Preferably Business Objects)
• Minimum 3 years' Experience: Tableau Development
• IntermediateknowledgeofSQL;knowledgeofdatabasestructures,theories,principals,andpractices
• Proficiencywithmanagingcomplexdatafrommultipledatasourcesanddemonstratedabilitytounderstandnewdatasetsanddatastructures
• Excellent user experience and customer experience skills with proactive communication and collaboration with customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, by means of email, presentations, and mobile communication platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal skills working in a team environment and attention to detail
• Work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Preferred: Proficiency in the use of query and other reporting analysis tools
