About the Role:

iSphere is seeking a seasoned ERP Business Analyst for a 12+ month contract supporting the strategic planning and procurement of a cloud-based ERP system for a major educational institution in South Houston. This position plays a critical role in replacing an aging PeopleSoft platform with a next-generation ERP that will unify financials, procurement, payment processing, and student engagement systems.

This is a high-impact consulting opportunity designed for professionals who excel in stakeholder collaboration, requirements gathering, and functional documentation in complex, multi-departmental environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead workshops and gather business requirements from departments across finance, procurement, student services, and IT.

  • Develop detailed functional specifications to inform the RFP and vendor evaluation process.

  • Conduct gap analysis between current PeopleSoft system and modern ERP best practices.

  • Collaborate with leadership to build a roadmap for enterprise-wide cloud ERP implementation.

  • Support data integration, business process optimization, and long-term system transition planning.

  • Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams throughout the planning phase.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as an ERP Business Analyst or IT Consultant working on large-scale ERP system initiatives.

  • Proven ability to collect, consolidate, and document requirements across multiple departments in a structured, enterprise setting.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems supporting finance, procurement, payments, and student operations.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience managing cross-functional stakeholder groups.

  • Experience with ERP strategy, planning, or system modernization efforts in large organizations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in higher education, public sector, or institutional environments.

  • Prior involvement in the implementation or planning of cloud-based ERP platforms (Workday, Oracle Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, etc.).

  • Knowledge of Texas public procurement practices or federally funded IT initiatives.

Additional Information:

  • Location: South Houston area

  • Schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote per week (20% remote)

  • Contract Length: 12+ months
