The PM is responsible for program governance, risk management, timeline oversight, coordination across workstreams, and ensuring decisions are made with full awareness of downstream impacts across HCM, FINS, and PSA.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Governance

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the customer and the SI/implementation partner.
  • Establish and manage governance frameworks, steering committees, RAID logs, and communication plans.
  • Drive weekly status meetings, executive updates, and cross-functional alignment sessions.

Project Execution
  • Partner with functional and technical leads (internal + SI) to ensure deliverables stay on track and meet requirements.
  • Manage the integrated project plan, dependencies, milestones, and critical path across all Workday modules.
  • Monitor configuration, data conversion, integrations, reporting, security, testing, and change management activities.
  • Support decision-making by providing clarity on scope, downstream impacts, and prioritization across HCM, FINS, and PSA.

Risk, Issue, and Change Management
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and scope changes; develop mitigation plans and escalation paths.
  • Ensure alignment across internal Finance, HR, IT, and PSA/Professional Services teams.
  • Track and manage budget, resource allocation, and vendor performance.

Testing & Cutover
  • Oversee test strategy and execution (unit, SIT, UAT, parallel payroll, end-to-end).
  • Coordinate cutover planning, go-live readiness, deployment activities, and hypercare support.
  • Ensure the customer has the right resources for data validation, configuration review, testing, and post-go-live adoption.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and design reviews to ensure business needs are understood and represented.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with executives, SMEs, and the implementation partner.
  • Support change management planning and end-user readiness in partnership with internal HR/Finance/IT teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of project management experience, preferably in enterprise SaaS deployments.
  • Proven experience managing Workday implementations, ideally including two or more of the following:
    • HCM (Core, Talent, Comp, Time & Absence, Benefits)
    • Financials (Core Financials, Procurement, Projects & Customers)
    • PSA (Project Staffing, Revenue, Time Tracking, Billing)
  • Strong understanding of Workday methodology, project phases, testing cycles, data conversion, integrations, and security.
  • Ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams and leadership stakeholders.
  • Experience working alongside system integrators (Kainos, Client, Client, PwC, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and structured problem-solving skills.
