Job Details

As an IT Applications Delivery Manager, your primary responsibilities are to provide thought leadership, analysis, transforming, modeling, mentoring, delivery, and product ownership for applications. You will be working closely with your business partner in understanding their needs and designing IT solutions that fit their needs. You will ensure the designed solutions are architecturally sound and are maintainable. You will collaborate with other product owners, leads, and architects on current and future strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the product owner on the business side in defining product strategy, establishing roadmaps, and prioritization of user stories
  • Actively engage in project delivery using Agile principles in collaboration with the project team and business PO
  • Closely collaborate with the delivery team regarding current and future solutions and assists in ensuring optimal solutions are delivered
  • Guide your team with the transformation of the existing monolith solution to a state that is nimble and compliant with DevSecOps principles
  • Actively participate in requirements analysis, proof of concepts, RFI & RFP processes, project funding, and solution design and delivery
  • Drive progress towards technology target roadmaps
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and development team to produce architecture artifacts like logical architecture, configuration architecture, data architecture, and deployment/physical architecture views as part of the solution
  • Create and help promote patterns/techniques to foster DevOps adoption
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize efforts to meet expectations

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated significant expertise in transforming large-scale enterprise initiatives from legacy on-premise monolith architecture to a highly responsive domain-based microservices architecture on AWS or similar cloud environments
  • 10 years of large application experience with at least 5 years in the capacity of tech lead/architect
  • 5 years React, NodeJS, Java EE, Spring and cloud experience (preferably AWS)
  • AWS or equivalent cloud certifications
  • Experience with cloud containers (Dockers, Kubernetes)
  • Must be well versed in software development life cycle methodologies with emphasis on Agile product development
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, Java EE or Spring, SOA, Web Services, Kafka, Hibernate/JPA, JDBC, JAXB, EJB, XML, JBoss Application Server, DB2 and LINUX
  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture, JavaScript MVC frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with cloud patterns and security
  • Strong understanding of SOX, PCI, PII, CCPA, and security processes and standards

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field
