Job Details

Description: We are seeking a hands-on EDI Developer to help modernize and automate our ERP and data exchange operations. This role is ideal for a developer with strong experience in C#.Net, VB.Net, and EDI standards who can build scalable solutions and reduce manual work across departments. During initial discovery, the manager emphasized that C#.Net is a must-have skill, not just a plus, and that VB.Net, VB scripting, PowerShell, Microsoft SQL, and batch file automation are essential for long-term success. While EDI experience is preferred, we are open to training a strong developer on EDI, noting that the data exchange component is relatively simple compared to the development work. This person will work closely with leadership to transform legacy processes into automated workflows, support ERP operations (Syspro), and ensure seamless data exchange with trading partners using X12 and XML formats.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using C#.Net, VB.Net, and scripting tools.
  • Build and optimize EDI workflows using X12 and XML formats.
  • Support and enhance Syspro ERP operations, including configuration, reporting, and integration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify manual processes and implement automation.
  • Maintain secure and reliable data transfers via SFTP and batch processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI errors (824, 997) and ensure timely transaction processing.
  • Document system changes, workflows, and user training materials.
  • Work with part-time consultants and internal stakeholders to stabilize and scale operations.
