Staff Augmentation Services
A Software Tester works closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure software applications meet the required standards of quality and functionality. This role involves analyzing business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test plans and test cases. The tester's primary responsibility is to validate that the application performs as expected and to identify, document, and track any defects or bugs, ensuring the final product is stable, reliable, and aligns with the needs of the end-user.
The tester will be required to do the following:
Requirement Analysis and Test Planning- A tester begins by analyzing software requirements to understand the application's functionality, then creates a comprehensive test plan to guide the entire testing process.
Test Case Creation and Execution - testers design and write detailed test cases to verify specific features, and then execute them to confirm the application behaves as expected.
Defect Reporting and Tracking - when a bug is found, the tester's job is to document and report it clearly and accurately, then track the defect's lifecycle until it is resolved.
Regression Testing - this task involves re-running a select group of tests to ensure that new code changes haven't accidentally broken existing features or created new bugs.
Performance and Security Testing - testers run specific tests to verify the application's speed and stability under load, and also to identify any vulnerabilities that could compromise data or user security.
REQUIRED:
- Experience performing manual test scenarios 6 Months
- Familiar with testing methodologies including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience using automation testing tools Highly desired
- Experience testing and/or using Gentax software Highly desired
- Strong communication/ leadership skills
- Strong influence, collaboration and negotiation experience
- Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines.
- Have excellent oral and written skills/possess strong meeting and work session facilitation skills.
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines
- Have strong understanding of prioritization stemming from the elicitation of system and/or user requirements.
- Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably use the English language.
