Mechanical Engineer

The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $110,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

Job Summary:

Our office in San Diego is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment with primary responsibility to engineer and design projects for healthcare, institutional and industrial clients.

General Duties:

• Develop HVAC system designs of a given project based on scope of work and/or client RFPs
• Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for a variety of market types
• Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
• Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
• Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
• Complete code compliance research
• Coordinate work with other disciplines
• Provide construction administration services
• Perform QA/QC of design work

Skills:

• Proficiency in using engineering tools and software including Autodesk software (Revit, Navisworks)
• Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registration as EIT or PE preferred.

Location: San Diego, CA (on-site preferred, hybrid for the right candidate)

Travel: Up to 25%
