Responsibilities:
- Responsible for administration of classified and unclassified systems and networks IAW applicable MDA and DoD guidance.
- Ensures IT systems and networks are fully functional for all operational and support activities.
- Implements IT processes and operations based on applicable MDA and DoD security provisions, technical guidance, and documented instructions.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining user accounts, profiles, privileges and overall network and system security.
- Anticipates IT related issues and implements proactive preventive measures.
- Develops, sustains, and updates documentation for Information Technology processes and procedures.
- Performs regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
- Maintains IT databases and performs programming tasks in relation to system administration.
- Researches, evaluates, and recommends new and emerging IT systems technologies to advance and support program requirements.
- Supports the work of other staff engaged in system administration functions.
- Supports the integration and testing of complex large-scale networks.
Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Understanding of system administration tools, techniques, and methods.
- Proficient in Windows Operating Systems 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
- Fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP)
- Must be able to work with minimal oversight and possess abilities to communicate effectively through all levels within the organization working closely with project leads and other team members
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Up to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Secret Clearance
