Position: System/Network Administration 1

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for administration of classified and unclassified systems and networks IAW applicable MDA and DoD guidance.
  • Ensures IT systems and networks are fully functional for all operational and support activities.
  • Implements IT processes and operations based on applicable MDA and DoD security provisions, technical guidance, and documented instructions.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining user accounts, profiles, privileges and overall network and system security.
  • Anticipates IT related issues and implements proactive preventive measures.
  • Develops, sustains, and updates documentation for Information Technology processes and procedures.
  • Performs regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
  • Maintains IT databases and performs programming tasks in relation to system administration.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends new and emerging IT systems technologies to advance and support program requirements.
  • Supports the work of other staff engaged in system administration functions.
  • Supports the integration and testing of complex large-scale networks.


Responsibilities

Requirements:
  • Understanding of system administration tools, techniques, and methods.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating Systems 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
  • Fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP)
  • Must be able to work with minimal oversight and possess abilities to communicate effectively through all levels within the organization working closely with project leads and other team members


Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Up to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Secret Clearance
