Job Title: IT Jr. Project Manager
Location: Boston, MA (On-site)

Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Jr. Project Manager to support the ACIO and IT leadership team within a government agency. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical and highly visible IT projects and processes within a large public sector environment.
The Jr. Project Manager will provide administrative and project coordination support, working closely with IT leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, proactive, and able to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and organizational skills.
Create and document project plans, track progress, and report on deliverables.
Manage document versioning and incorporate feedback through drafting and reviews.
Coordinate and schedule meetings (virtual and in-person), prepare agendas, and capture meeting minutes.
Track, maintain, and coordinate project and procurement actions, including risks, issues, and next steps.
Build and maintain effective relationships with project team members, senior leadership, and stakeholders.
Prepare presentation-ready reports and documents using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Develop and update templates, handouts, and slide decks for reports and presentations.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, including procurement details, system security data, and PII.
Review and process system support/procurement requests and gather business justification details prior to executive sign-off.
Balance strategic and tactical responsibilities with flexibility.
Represent the IT organization professionally when working with internal and external teams.
Adhere to established project management methodologies, quality assurance practices, and organizational standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of and experience working in a government IT environment preferred.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with management, IT staff, and cross-functional teams.
Experience interacting with technical personnel and external contractors.
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear communication for non-technical business partners.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 1 year of experience in an IT organization.
Proficiency in preparing professional documentation and reports.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
