Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Cincinnati, OH that is seeking a Product Designer to join their team on a 6-month contract to hire basis. This person must be local to Cincinnati as they will be going into the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays weekly.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain Figma design libraries consisting of web, and native components
* Continually refine our library of ~100 components based on business need, technology changes, and user insights
* Intake new component request and work with the UI team to align the visual language to the design system
* Extrapolate component proposals to account for all possible interaction states, style grid options, and accessibility concerns
* Work closely with Product managers and developers (web, iOS, and Android) to make sure all components are built to parity with the designs, ensuring a quality product is being used by Product Designers and Developers across the org
* Write clear and concise documentation explaining to users how to properly utilize components
* Continually iterate and evolve documentation as changes to component are made, and feedback is received from users
* Collaborate with the design system site product designers to ensure the documentation and visual are implemented correctly on the site
* Collaborate with developers to make sure design documentation aligns with programming documentation
* Work to modernize the design libraries due to advancements in design system tooling (Figma)
* Create and maintain our library of design variables, which allow the org to evolve the visual language quickly and efficiently
* Utilize and define variables to power new digital experiences. Including associate handheld devices, or next generation touch screen applications
* Support community libraries, extension kits or other libraries as determined by next-gen design system structure

REQUIREMENTS:
* Figma (Must-Have)
* Experience building and maintaining design systems (Must-Have)
* Experience documenting design systems (Must-Have)
* Basic knowledge of user research (Does not have to be super extensive)
* Portfolios will be reviewed in the interviews

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
