Job Title: Applications Manager 

(Could also be considered an Integration Engineer or Analytics Engineer)

 

Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Applications Manager to join a growing IT team. This newly created, multi-faceted role will be responsible for overseeing the management of business applications, integration of systems, interface development, and data reporting. The ideal candidate will also support the Director of Analytics in building out operational and strategic data capabilities. This is a hands-on role that blends operational support with technical development, requiring a strong understanding of complex data systems, proficiency in Python, connecting enterprise systems and experience building dashboards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain business applications used across departments.
  2. Develop and manage system integrations and interfaces between internal and third-party systems.
  3. Collaborate with the Director of Analytics to support data modeling, reporting, and dashboard creation.
  4. Utilize Python and other tools to manipulate, analyze, and visualize complex datasets.
  5. Serve as the technical lead on initiatives related to system connectivity, automation, and optimization.
  6. Drive operational improvements through better application utilization and data-driven decision-making.
  7. Work cross-functionally with teams including Operations, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to ensure applications align with business goals.

 

Experience:

  1. Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and integration tasks.
  2. Experience with dashboard and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  3. Background in retail and/or B2C e-commerce environments.
  4. Familiarity with business application ecosystems (Candidates with any of the following; ERP, WMS, CRM, Shopify, marketing automation, etc. is preferred.).
  5. Prior experience in a small IT team or startup-style environment is a plus.

 

Work Environment:

  1. On-site presence required Tuesday through Thursday.
  2. Flexible workdays on Monday and Friday.
  3. Company size: 40-45 employees on-site, with additional off-site staff including C-Level executives.
  4. IT Team: Currently 3 members, with this role bringing the team to 4.

  2. Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative small-team setting.
  3. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
