Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer to design, develop, and optimize data integration, ETL workflows, and enterprise-scale data processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio GDE, Conduct>IT, and related components, along with deep knowledge of data warehousing and advanced ETL concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Ab Initio ETL workflows using GDE, EME, and Co-Operating System.
• Create high-performance ETL pipelines to process large datasets efficiently.
• Develop graphs, plans, and scripts using Ab Initio components (GDE, Conduct>IT, PSET, DQE, etc.).
• Work with business analysts and data architects to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform data analysis, data profiling, and support data quality initiatives.
• Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support on-call activities, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DBA, QA, Business, DevOps) for successful project delivery.
• Maintain documentation for ETL processes, technical specifications, and workflow designs.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and data governance policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 8+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio.
• Strong experience with:
• GDE (Graphical Development Environment)
• Co>Operating System
• EME (Enterprise Metadata Environment)
• Conduct>IT
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, or other RDBMS.
• Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of ETL workflows.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Ab Initio components like:
• DQE (Data Quality Environment)
• ACE
• BRE / BRD
• Continuous Flows
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, autosys, etc.)
