Job Title: Mid-level Server Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid, 3-4 days a week in office)

Duration: 9 Months

Xoriant reasonably expects the pay rate for this position to be within the following range: $60.00/hour-$65.00/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Install/rack/build servers in datacenter.
• Maintain and troubleshoot issues with servers and SAN storage arrays in the datacenter.
• Review and assess server/storage resource requirements from internal customers.
• Investigates, researches, and analyzes server/storage incidents as they are escalated or reported.
• Do performance analysis and resolve performance issues on server and storage systems.
• Perform server/storage capacity review and make recommendations.
• Report and make recommendations to senior members for new features, security patches and version upgrades.
• Perform system and storage administrator tasks.
• Serve as engineering tier-3 point of contact for escalations from SRE team.

Qualifications:

• 7+ year Linux (Redhat, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu) experience.
• 7+ year VMWare ESXi and other virtualization applications experience.
• 7+ year SAN/NAS (NetApp) experience.
• 7+ year Cisco MDS SAN switch experience.
• 7+ year experience working in datacenter.
• Strong knowledge of Dell PowerEdge server and storage technologies.
• Strong knowledge of networking technology.
• Strong scripting skill.
• Experience with Bigfix and automation is a plus.
• Experience with Windows Server administration is a plus.
• Industry certification(s) preferred.
• Bachelor s degree preferred.
