Job Description:
Role: Inventory Control Clerk I
Location: Phoenix, AZ(Onsite)
Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Clerk I plays a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management within the organization. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position collaborates closely with multiple departments including warehouse operations, accounting, commercial operations, and pricing to maintain data integrity and support smooth inventory processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and sign off on daily receiving batches upon arrival from the warehouse.
  • Maintain and update the Arizona Daily Receiving Log.
  • Conduct bi-monthly receiving log audits and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Number, audit, image, file, and archive daily receiving packets for accurate documentation.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between received inventory and claims.
  • Process inventory adjustments, including below-threshold receives and breaks.
  • Handle code-to-code movements and layer adjustments following Staff Accountant validation.
  • Log and track samples received into the distribution center (DC) warehouse.
  • Image and maintain transfer invoices for records.
  • Provide Bills of Lading (BOLs) to receivers as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned to support accounting and warehouse operations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of general accounting experience or equivalent formal education preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Skills:
  • Accurate data entry and 10-key by touch proficiency.
Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining efficiency.
