Job Details

Job Title: Lead NetSuite Developer

Location: San Diego (Onsite/Hybrid 3 days work from office)

Experience: 12+ years of relevant NetSuite experience (Last 3 years in Lead/semi-architect role)

Must have: hands-on coding ability at present

Requirements / Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.

12+ years of hands-on NetSuite architecture solutioning and development experience, including SuiteScript 1.0 / 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk / RESTlets / SOAP APIs, custom records, storage logic, etc.

Strong expertise in JavaScript (ES5/ES6+), asynchronous programming, JSON, and web technologies (HTTP, REST, etc.).

Experience developing integrations (REST, SOAP, middleware, ETL) between NetSuite and external systems.

Good knowledge of relational data modeling, data transformations, and scripting logic.

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, especially in complex multi-system environments.

Proven track record of delivering reliable, scalable customizations to NetSuite in a production environment.

Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.) and deployment pipelines/CI/CD tools.

Ability to read, understand, and adapt to existing codebases and customizations.

Excellent communication skills, able to interact with business stakeholders and translate between functional and technical domains.

Experience with system testing, writing test cases, and participating in UAT.

Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to multi-task, handle competing priorities, and work in an agile (or hybrid) software development model.

Must Have Skills:

NetSuite certifications (SuiteFoundation, SuiteScript, Administrator, etc.).

Experience with OneWorld / global NetSuite deployments, multi-subsidiary / multi-currency setups.

Familiarity with SuiteCommerce / commerce integrations.

Experience with BI or analytics tools (e.g. SuiteAnalytics Workbook, Tableau, Power BI) and data warehouse / ETL architectures.

Understanding of accounting / ERP concepts (e.g., O2C, P2P, inventory, GL) to better align development with business domain.

Exposure to other systems like Salesforce, e-commerce platforms, or third-party logistics systems.

Experience working under SOX / IT/ compliance frameworks.

Experience leading or mentoring junior developers or collaborating in cross-functional teams.
