Role Overview
- Location: Melbourne, FL 32904 or Bellevue, WA 98004 (open to Remote)
- Domain: Electric Grid Software Solutions (not Telecommunications)
- Experience Required:
- 5+ years in customizing and delivering Energy Management Systems (EMS), preferably e-terra AEMS Reliance
- Hands-on experience with Power Systems applications for transmission (e.g., Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, Power Factor)
- 5+ years with C++, Java, or related languages
- 5+ years with Linux and Windows OS
- Educational background: BE (EEE), M.Tech (Power Systems), or Ph.D. in Power Systems
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver advanced Power Systems Application software for Transmission
- Collaborate with Electric Utilities, ISOs, and TSOs
- Engage in functional specs, design, coding, testing, integration, tuning, and delivery
Pre-Screening Questions (Must be addressed in resume and coversheet)
- Have you worked on Power Systems applications for transmission (Load flow, contingency analysis, Power Factor etc)?
- Name any power systems applications (Transmission) for which you have implementation expertise.
- Do you have minimum 2 years of implementation experience and customization of power system applications?
- Do you have experience in developing applications using C++ and Java?
Desirable Skills:
5+ years of work experience in development, customizing and delivering Energy Management Systems for Electric Power Utilities leveraging industry practices
Knowledgeable and Proficient in Electric SCADA, Power DMS, Transmission EMS Implementations
5 years of experience with C, Java & SQL/Oracle Database
5 + years of experience with OOPS skills with C++, Full stack Java or other related language.
5+ years of experience with AEMS product (design and development).
Years of experience with LINUX and Windows Operating Systems
SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs & debug files
Installation of Operating system patches and other 3rd Party Software such as Oracle, NetApp etc.
System configuration and Hands on Experience in GitHub and ClearCase
5 years experience on Realtime or Mission Critical Systems
Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems
Proven track record of problem analysis, identification and resolution
Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills"
