Position: Systems Administrator

Duration: 6- Months

Location: - Tallahassee, FL

Education:

• Bachelor s Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Experience Requirements:

• 2 3 years of experience with: Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• 2 3 years of IIS Administration.
• 2 3 years of network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS, Samba/CIFS file sharing, and NTFS permissions.
• 2 3 years of strong professional experience in Microsoft Azure cloud systems is highly desired.
• 2 3 years of experience with other cloud providers, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform, is highly desired.
• 2 3 years of professional experience in the administration of Microsoft software is highly desired.
• 3 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration.
• 3 5 years of professional experience supporting middleware such as API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job services is highly desired.
• 5 8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or another related field is required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Expand and support FDOT infrastructure

• Server configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Evaluate and recommend upgrades and patches
• Analyze and troubleshoot system/application issues
• Maintain firewalls, connections, and security protocols
• Build and manage cloud and on-premises environments
• Configure and manage Azure DevOps and Microsoft services
• Support middleware and backend processes
• Document systems, automate tasks, and reduce manual workload
• Collaborate across IT teams and vendors
• Assist with additional duties as assigned

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, BeaconGov provides reasonable range of compensation for this role.
