RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is working with a client in search of a Senior/Lead Network Engineer to join their team near Maplewood, NJ.
Summary:
Are you a seasoned network engineer with a passion for security and leadership? We are seeking a dynamic Lead Network Engineer to join our team and spearhead our network operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of our network infrastructure. You will lead a small, dedicated team of network professionals, driving innovation and excellence in our security monitoring services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
* Network Design & Implementation: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust network solutions tailored to our security monitoring needs
* Security Focus: Ensure the highest levels of network security, implementing best practices and staying ahead of emerging threats
* Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems for maximum efficiency and reliability
* Project Management: Manage network-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to align network strategies with business objectives
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) are a plus
* Minimum of 7 years in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
* Proficiency in network design, implementation, and security; Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
* Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
