Job Description:
Pay Range: $147000Years - $147000Years
  • The Capital Procurement Manager leads and manages a procurement team to deliver strategic sourcing and contracting objectives for major capital projects.
  • This role oversees the full procurement lifecycle, supplier relationships, and contract administration while ensuring alignment with project and organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a procurement team to achieve performance aligned with system-wide sourcing and contracting objectives.
  • Oversee staffing levels and ensure procurement resources are flexible and scalable to project demands.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for major capital projects, including supplier selection and support services.
  • Partner with project planning teams to forecast procurement needs and determine make-vs-buy strategies.
  • Prepare forecasts, scenario analyses, and long-term procurement plans to support capital projects.
  • Define, track, and report on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on sourcing pipeline, budget tracking, and supplier performance.
  • Execute end-to-end procurement activities, including RFP development, bidding, proposal evaluation, and contract award.
  • Collaborate with Category Management and Legal during final negotiations.
  • Drive supplier relationship management, including scorecarding, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee contract administration, including change orders, claims management, invoice validation, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to optimize sourcing strategies, commercial models, and contract execution.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage procurement staff to build a high-performing team.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing capital, O&M, and labor budgets.
  • Experience with construction contracts and knowledge of EPC/DB/PDB delivery methods.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering with an MBA.
  • Experience leading large procurement teams on construction contracts.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including contract administration and construction management expertise.
  • Strong analytical, strategic decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership, mentoring, and coaching capabilities.
  • Project management experience, including scheduling, reporting, and evaluating completed tasks.
