Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Wireless Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Englewood, CO. The candidate will be responsible for performance testing of SCP routers for Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6e, Wi-Fi 7, and SCP specific features.

Responsibilities:
* Wireless Engineer will be performing planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for wireless network systems of high complexity
* Designs, develops, and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement
* Responsible for implementation of wireless network architecture and designs
* Participates in wireless network planning, wireless network architecture design and engineering. Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete wireless network configurations
* As a Wireless Engineer, you will evaluate new products, performs wireless network problem resolution
* Develops and implements approved methods of procedure
* Designs, develops, and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
* Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP), Wireless industry and vendor specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.)
* 10+ years of experience
* 5+ years of wireless network experience
* Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.)
* Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols
* Proficient knowledge in wireless network design, wireless network architecture, protocols, and wireless network topology
* Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances
* Proficient knowledge of wireless network designing software, such as Visio and knowledge of Microsoft Office

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
