Job Title: Lead GenAI Data Scientist (Palantir - Must Have)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid, 3–4 Days Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract or Full-Time (Open to Both)
Experience Required: 12+ Years Overall (including 3+ Years in Generative AI / Palantir)

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Data Science Leader with deep expertise in Generative AI and Palantir Foundry / AIP to spearhead our next-generation AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will architect and scale enterprise-grade GenAI solutions leveraging Palantir’s ecosystem—enabling capabilities such as LLM-driven applications, RAG pipelines, and custom model fine-tuning workflows.

This role demands a hands-on technical leader who can guide a team of data scientists and engineers while collaborating cross-functionally to transform business processes through Foundry-based AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead and mentor a team of data scientists to design, build, and deploy Generative AI solutions within Palantir Foundry/AIP using Ontology, Object Types, and AIP Logic.

·       Define and execute the GenAI adoption strategy within AIP to align with enterprise goals and operational workflows.

·       Oversee model fine-tuning and adaptation pipelines using Foundry, including dataset creation, training, and evaluation logic.

·       Architect and implement scalable Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Foundry Code Workbooks, AIP Logics, embeddings, and vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, ChromaDB).

·       Establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, and bias mitigation within Foundry’s governance and compliance framework.

·       Collaborate with product, engineering, and MLOps teams to operationalize GenAI workflows across applications, APIs, and dashboards.

·       Stay current with advancements in LLMs, transformers, and GenAI ecosystems and translate them into Foundry-native implementations.

·       Represent the Data Science function in leadership forums, effectively communicating technical AI strategies and business impact.

Required Skills & Experience

·       12+ years of experience in Data Science / Machine Learning, including 3+ years of leadership and hands-on experience in Generative AI / Palantir AIP.

·       Proven success delivering end-to-end AI solutions—from ontology design and pipeline orchestration to Foundry Workshop deployment.

·       Strong command of Python, and frameworks such as Transformers, LangChain, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face, with integration experience in Foundry Code Workbooks and AIP Logic.

·       Deep understanding of LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Mistral, LLaMA) and GenAI tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex, PromptFlow).

·       Practical experience with embedding models, semantic search, and vector databases, integrated into Palantir Ontology.

·       Familiarity with MLOps practices and hybrid cloud deployments involving Palantir environments.

·       Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, with a proven ability to influence and drive consensus across technical and business teams.

·       Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in governance and data stewardship contexts.
