This is a 12 month contract-to-hire and needs to meet Client full-time conversion policies. Those dependent on a work permit sponsor now or anytime in the future (ie H1B, OPT, CPT, etc) do not meet Client requirements for this opening.

We are seeking a highly skilled Disaster Recovery (DR) Lead/Manager to lead and manage our disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives across the US and Bermuda. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in risk and control, cybersecurity, cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), and financial services compliance. This role requires someone with technical acumen, leadership qualities, and communication skills to drive complex recovery efforts across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disaster Recovery Leadership: Lead the planning, development, testing, and implementation of disaster recovery strategies, ensuring the resilience of IT and business operations.
  • Program Management: Coordinate cross-functional workstreams to ensure effective DR program execution.
  • Risk and Control Management: Conduct and manage Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), ensuring alignment with internal control frameworks and industry standards.
  • GRC and InfoSec: Leverage governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and cybersecurity expertise to assess and improve DR capabilities, including technical resilience in cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
  • Test Plans and Audits: Work with QA teams Develop and execute test plans, test cases, tabletop exercises, and post-mortem analysis for DR scenarios. Ensure testing meets internal and external audit requirements.
  • Business Continuity Integration: Work closely with the Business Continuity Program Manager to align DR strategies with business continuity goals and ensure consistent reporting and tracking.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure DR and BC strategies comply with industry regulations such as SOX, GDPR, and internal enterprise risk standards.
  • IT Asset Management: Support the implementation and enhancement of DR-related processes for IT asset management and critical infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for DR communications; present technical and operational updates to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor effectiveness of recovery plans and recommend enhancements based on testing results, audit feedback, or regulatory updates.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Risk Management, or Information Security
  • Hands-on experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and internal controls frameworks
  • Strong technical background in Cybersecurity and Cloud Platforms specifically AWS and Azure
  • Proven experience developing and implementing Business Continuity and DR plans, including risk mitigation strategies
  • GRC / InfoSec experience with demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements (FFIEC, SOX, GDPR, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management practices as they relate to DR
  • Experience working in Financial Services or Banking, with familiarity in regulatory standards
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
