Procurement Category Manager 5/OFCI Buyer on the Long Lead Equipment (LLE) Procurement Team main responsibilities will include procuring, planning, delegating, or coordinating procurement activities across multiple construction projects in the AMER region. Activities will include tracking key milestones, procuring OFCI LLE equipment, tracking deliverables, creating change orders and managing the change order process for clean handoffs between internal teams and stakeholders.

responsibilities:
- Procurement
- Manage key sourcing activities for business projects, ensuring timely delivery and budgeting with appropriate risk management
- Solicit and review supplier bids and provide assessment on price, selection, service, support, availability and other relevant factors.
- Drive the creation and management of change orders utilizing ERP and PBI tools for assigned suppliers/equipment categories.
- Act as the commercial Subject Matter Expert and prescribe the appropriate entitlement and justification for all change orders.
- Portfolio Management
- Coordinate projects, manage milestones, track project updates and project specific requirements
- Instruct stakeholders on how to resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
- Review and execute category strategy, plans, or sourcing pipeline
- Confer with management, design engineers, cost managers and site execution teams to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Supplier Engagement & Performance
- Oversee supplier performance and interface cross functionally with both internal and external partners to proactively resolve issues.?
- Manage technical risk management of design including timelines, SLA/KPI's to ensure site timelines.
- Serves as contact point between supplier and internal teams to execute complex post award alignment between suppliers and Microsoft as appropriate.?
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- Construction management or supply chain management experience
- 7-10 years of direct experience in procurement or purchasing
- Demonstrated ERP experience with SAP & Ariba (desired)

- Ability to work independently and manage one's time, including effective time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of construction management, procurement management, and strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, process development and implementation experience.
- Strong skill set in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc., experience in Ariba and/or supplier/contract management systems preferable.
- Ability to operate and execute effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and challenging deadlines
- Ability to analyze price proposals and other technical data.
