Mobile Engineer

1+ Year Contract

Nashville, TN-Onsite

Summary
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple systems and locations.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in one core area (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing/Piping, or Central Utility Plant Operations) while being multi-skilled in others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.
  • Travel between multiple facilities to ensure optimal functionality and compliance.
  • Manage facility services including preventive maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contractor coordination.
  • Clean, inspect, calibrate, and replace parts to maintain HVAC systems at peak performance.
  • Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
  • Follow departmental policies for safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
  • Conduct periodic inventory checks of tools and instruments.
  • Monitor quality and cost of maintenance work performed by external contractors.
  • Identify safety hazards and recommend corrective measures to eliminate risks.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
  • Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification (required); EPA 608 Universal Certification (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred: Two years of trade school in electrical system design, refrigeration, or HVAC.
