Position Summary:

As a Senior Manager of Application Development, you will support the development and maintenance of existing and new applications as well as assisting in day-to-day production support activities. In this role you will design, code, test, debug, document, deploy, and support solutions that support overall success of the organization. This role will work on Broker Commissions applications across multiple projects and enhancements that support the Commissions lines of business.

The success of this position is directly coupled to bringing agile development best practices to build manageable, scalable, and high-performance java code. To be successful in this role, you must possess the ability to lead projects with limited risks and resources, have superior design and development ability with strong analytical skills. The Senior Manager of Application Development will also possess knowledge and experience with Commissions applications including best practices, java development, as well as experience working with enterprise data integrations and be able to help define long term strategies.

The right candidate will work in a team of back-end and front-end developers supporting all phases of the Commissions business. A thorough understanding of all the components of application development life cycle is required.

As a Senior Manager of Application Development, you will:
  • Possess extensive knowledge and proven experience in leading java technical projects in development, design and delivery of complex business solutions built on a Java framework, and various technology stacks to support integrations
  • Utilize your knowledge of writing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for ad-hoc, and recurring standard reports or load automation
  • Act as the liaison between project managers, architects, development team members and analysts to own and at times lead projects, build, maintain enterprise-level software solutions, and provide technical support in new project initiatives, design, develop and enhance existing systems, assist in functionality documentation, technical documentation and system testing and quality assurance.
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment for a growing business

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in developing applications and providing the technical solutions using technologies i.e., Java, SoapUI, SQL
  • 7+ years of experience in Integration with various systems, platforms, data migration, and
  • production stability
  • 7+ years of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevOps experience to insure the delivery of an application with the appropriate documentations and on-going support
  • 7+ years of experience in collaborating with other associates to design solutions that efficiently deliver the required enhancements on time and within budget
  • 5+ years of experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for ad-hoc, and recurring standard reports or file builds
  • 5+ years of experience Microsoft SQL Server and or DB2 database development experience, troubleshooting, and tuning
  • 5+ years of experience in various testing methods, performance, load, stress etc.
  • Experience in SAP Incentive Management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Insurance Industry knowledge
  • Experience in developing applications and providing the technical solutions using technologies like Microsoft Azure, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, HTML, CSS and Web API.
  • Experience in agile/scrum methodology.
  • Experience dividing projects into tasks and managing the allocation of work across the development team.
  • Able to work with remote business and IT partners.
  • Experience with commissions applications

  • Open Text Actuate reporting knowledge

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience.)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
