About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst (Functional) with strong expertise in Investment Management to support our Insurance client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Aladdin, Portfolio Management processes, and data platforms (SQL, Azure Data Factory, Databricks). You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving functional requirements, solution design, and ensuring smooth delivery of investment management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Portfolio Managers, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Work closely on Aladdin and related Portfolio Management systems to support investment processes, trade workflows, compliance, and reporting.
- Define functional requirements and translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Collaborate with technology teams using SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks for data integration, analysis, and reporting solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across investment and risk management platforms.
- Conduct impact assessments and gap analysis for new initiatives and enhancements.
- Support UAT, coordinate with stakeholders, and validate solutions against business objectives.
- Provide domain expertise on Investment Management in the Insurance sector, ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational needs.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Investment Management / Asset Management / Insurance domain.
- Strong functional understanding of Aladdin and Portfolio Management workflows.
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL for querying and data validation.
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory / Databricks for data pipelines and reporting solutions.
- Excellent understanding of investment operations, trade lifecycle, compliance, and performance reporting.
- Ability to translate complex investment processes into clear, structured documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise between business users and technology teams.
- Insurance industry experience (highly preferred).
